What do I put on the floor?

There are a few options available for floor coverings. If the grass or ground that the marquee is on is flat enough, for a simple back garden party you can do without anything. The next option is matting.

The matting we use is a woven polypropylene matting similar to coconut matting but fire retardant, it also is relatively easy to clean and because it is a man-made fibre it doesn't tend to smell in the same way some coconut mattings do. The best option available is a boarded floor. These are 8' by 2' wooden boards that interlock with one another in a brickwork pattern. This gives a very solid base and means that tables and chairs won't sink or rock like they may do on other services. Flooring can be carpeted quite easily and this gives the very best finish. The carpet we provide are available in a wide range of colours.
