Ally-gator Aluminium Structures

Our Ally-gator series is a full aluminium structure offering a clear span unit, not interrupted by any centre supports. These structures use a steel subframe around the base to which the skeleton is attached. This subframe or ring-beam, as it is more commonly called, allows the structure to be pegged to the ground easily. Where pegs cannot be used, weights can simply be placed on top of it. This is a considerable advantage over some types of structure where there is simply a small steel plate at the base of each leg. It also allows the walls sections to be strapped down to them rather than needing to use additional steel bars. The structure is erected by making each arch flat on the ground and then raising them upright.

This is done arch by arch and the purlins are fitted to hold them together. The roof covers are then pulled into place. The walls are fitted in the same way and strapped to the ringbeam. The standard distance between arches, bays as they are referred to, is either 3m or 4m.

We have had a full set of structural calculations performed on our Ally-gator structures in compliance with the British Codes of Practice.

The worst of the British Climate is considered to be 160kph (100mph) wind speeds, and so that was the benchmark we set ourselves when first designing and manufacturing our Ally-gator structures.

We also have a 100mm snow loading on these structures. These increased wind and snow loadings make these structures ideal for the longer term solution as well as the short term period. We have sold and hired these structures for many uses including warehousing, agricultural storage, restaurants, permanent wedding sites and function suites.

Sizes

Standard Widths: 10m, 12m, 16m, 20m

Lengths: Any length in multiples of 3m and 4m bays.

We can produce any width from 6m wide up to 20m in the Ally-Gator series.
