Floor Coverings There are a few options for floor coverings available. Apart from either the bare surface the marquee is on, you can cover the floor with: We don't recommend using carpet on its own on grass as it lays poorly and can provide a tripping hazard. The matting is a heavy material similar to the old style coconut mattings but man made. This is ideal for on grassed surfaces. For a more solid foundation a wooden board floor is ideal. These are made up from interlocking boards 8' by 2'.
For more prestigious events new carpet can be laid on the flooring. We also provide dance floors. For dance floors we recommend 2.25 sq/ft per person. We have two main types of dance floor available: A parquet dancefloor, which is a polished wooden board type. Each square is 3' square. A black and white chessboard type. Each square on the black and white floor is 2' square.
